SweatHouz The Marina
San Francisco
A Marina District contrast therapy studio from the SweatHouz chain, where each private suite has an infrared sauna, a cold plunge and a vitamin C shower for a 60-minute session.
More about SweatHouz The Marina
You book a suite for an hour and control the sauna yourself: it starts at 140°F and can be turned up to 175°F. The plunge is kept around 48 to 50°F. Wear what you like in the sauna, but bring a swimsuit or spandex shorts for the plunge.
Two towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are set out in the suite, so you only need a change of clothes. Sessions start and end on the hour, so arriving late shortens your time.
